Owlin — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Owlin software, website, Discord community, authentication services, downloads, updates, support services, and related features collectively referred to as the “Service”.

The Service is operated by Owlin development team (“Owlin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, launching, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and the Owlin Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not download, install, access, or use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

• you meet the minimum age required by the laws of your country and by the platforms you use;
• you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
• your use of the Service is lawful in your jurisdiction;
• you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law or a prior enforcement decision by Owlin.

If you are legally considered a minor, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

2. Description of the Service

Owlin provides software tools, modifications, utilities, account authentication, updates, downloads, support, and related community services.

Features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued. Compatibility with a particular game version, operating system, device, platform, or third-party service is not guaranteed.

Owlin is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by:

• TruckersMP;
• SCS Software;
• Euro Truck Simulator 2;
• American Truck Simulator;
• Steam or Valve Corporation;
• Discord Inc.;
• any other game developer, publisher, or platform operator.

All third-party names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners.

3. Licence

Subject to these Terms, Owlin grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software for your own personal use.

The Software is licensed, not sold. You do not receive ownership of the Software, source code, authentication systems, cryptographic material, branding, or other intellectual property.

Unless Owlin gives you prior written permission, you may not:

• sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Software;
• share, transfer, resell, or lend your Owlin account or access entitlement;
• distribute modified or unofficial copies;
• remove copyright, branding, attribution, or security notices;
• impersonate Owlin or represent an unofficial copy as official;
• extract, disclose, steal, or misuse encryption keys, signing keys, tokens, credentials, or protected resources;
• bypass authentication, licensing, access restrictions, HWID restrictions, security checks, or technical protection measures;
• interfere with the Service, its servers, database, authentication systems, or availability;
• use the Service to distribute malware, steal data, compromise accounts, or harm another person or system.

4. Third-Party Rules and Online Services

Owlin does not grant permission to violate the rules, Terms of Service, End User Licence Agreements, policies, or technical restrictions of any game, multiplayer service, platform, or third-party provider.

You are responsible for determining whether your intended use is permitted.

You must not use Owlin:

• where third-party modifications or tools are prohibited;
• to gain an unfair competitive advantage;
• to harass, disrupt, damage, or negatively affect other users;
• to evade bans, restrictions, moderation, or enforcement measures;
• to violate applicable laws or the rights of another person.

Owlin does not guarantee that use of the Software will be undetectable or free from consequences.

Use may result in warnings, kicks, restrictions, suspension, termination, loss of game progress, or permanent bans imposed by third parties.

5. User Accounts and Discord Authentication

Some features require authentication through Discord and Supabase.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining control of your Discord account and device;
• keeping your credentials and authentication tokens secure;
• ensuring that information associated with your account is accurate;
• immediately notifying us if you believe your account or access token has been compromised.

You may not:

• use another person’s account without permission;
• create accounts to evade restrictions or bans;
• sell or transfer authenticated access;
• manipulate HWID or identity information to bypass restrictions;
• automate account creation or authentication without permission.

Owlin may limit the number of devices or hardware identities associated with an account.

6. Device Binding and Security Checks

The Service may associate an Owlin account with a device identifier or hardware identifier (“HWID”).

HWID processing is used to:

• control authorised access;
• prevent account sharing;
• prevent licence abuse;
• investigate fraud or security incidents;
• protect the Service and its users.

Attempts to falsify, reset, spoof, bypass, or manipulate HWID restrictions may result in suspension or termination of access.

A hardware change does not automatically entitle you to an HWID reset. Reset requests may be accepted or denied based on our security procedures.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, and Digital Access

Where paid access is offered, the price, billing period, included features, and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase.

Unless explicitly described as a subscription, purchasing access does not create an automatically renewing subscription.

You must use a payment method that you are authorised to use.

You must not:

• use stolen or unauthorised payment information;
• initiate a fraudulent chargeback;
• misrepresent a transaction;
• resell access without written permission.

Access may be suspended while a payment dispute, fraud investigation, or chargeback is pending.

8. Updates

The Software may require updates to remain functional.

Updates may:

• add, modify, or remove features;
• change compatibility;
• modify security mechanisms;
• correct bugs;
• disable outdated versions;
• require acceptance of updated Terms or Privacy Policy.

You must obtain updates only through official Owlin channels.

We are not responsible for unofficial, modified, reuploaded, or third-party copies.

9. Suspension and Termination

Owlin may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including when:

• these Terms are violated;
• an account is shared, sold, or transferred;
• authentication or security mechanisms are bypassed;
• fraudulent activity or payment abuse is suspected;
• the Service is used to harm others;
• continued access presents a legal, technical, or security risk;
• we are required to do so by law or a competent authority.

Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, we may provide an explanation or an opportunity to appeal through official support channels.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.

10. User Content and Support Submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit to Owlin, including support messages, screenshots, logs, feedback, and bug reports.

You grant Owlin a non-exclusive licence to process that content only as necessary to:

• provide support;
• investigate issues;
• maintain security;
• improve the Service;
• comply with legal obligations.

Do not submit passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, payment card information, or unrelated personal data through support channels.

By submitting feedback or suggestions, you permit Owlin to use them without payment or obligation, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.

11. Intellectual Property

The Software, website, graphics, branding, code, documentation, designs, and original content are owned by Owlin or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No right is granted except the limited licence expressly stated in these Terms.

Third-party game content and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

12. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service.

We do not guarantee:

• permanent availability;
• uninterrupted operation;
• compatibility with every system or game version;
• preservation of every feature;
• continued support for outdated versions;
• that the Service will meet every user’s requirements.

Where paid access is materially affected, mandatory consumer rights remain applicable.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

Owlin does not make warranties regarding:

• uninterrupted or error-free operation;
• compatibility with future game or platform updates;
• immunity from detection, sanctions, bans, or restrictions;
• absence of bugs, crashes, conflicts, or data loss;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• availability of support or updates for a specific period.

You should maintain backups of important files and data before installing or using the Software.

This section does not exclude warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Owlin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including:

• third-party account sanctions or bans;
• loss of game progress;
• loss or corruption of files;
• software conflicts;
• interruption of access;
• loss of anticipated benefits;
• actions taken by game developers, server operators, Steam, Discord, or other third parties.

Owlin remains responsible where liability cannot legally be excluded, including where required by applicable consumer-protection law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Service or your material violation of these Terms.

This provision does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

16. Privacy

Personal data is processed according to the Owlin Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains the processing of information such as:

• Discord account identifiers;
• email address where provided by Discord;
• IP address;
• approximate region or country;
• HWID;
• authentication and security records;
• access status and subscription information;
• support communications.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

• changes to the Service;
• legal or regulatory requirements;
• security requirements;
• new features;
• changes to third-party providers.

The updated date will appear at the top of this document.

For material changes, we may provide notice through the Software, website, Discord server, or account interface.

Where required, you will be asked to actively accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available in the user’s country of residence.

Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting:

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced only to the minimum extent necessary under applicable law.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy where applicable, and any purchase-specific terms form the agreement between you and Owlin regarding the Service.
